KINDERHOOK TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A woman in Kinderhook Township was injured early Friday morning after she was attacked in a possible kidnap attempt.
Michigan State Police say it appears the woman was leaving her home and driving down a driveway near the 200 block of Southern Road when she came across an obstruction.
When she got out of her vehicle to move it, she was attacked by at least one person who was wearing all camouflage.
Troopers say she was struck with some sort of device by the assailant.
The woman managed to fight off the attack and the assailant ran into some nearby woods.
A Michigan State Police K-9 was brought in to track the suspect. State Police say it managed to recover what they are calling valuable evidence.
The victim was taken to Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, where she was treated and released.
