COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Members of the 2018 MHSAA Division Two Lower Peninsula Championship Boys Track Team from Coldwater High School were honored on Tuesday night in downtown Coldwater.
Head Coach Jeff Schorfhaar pointed out this was the second state title for the track program with the first being won in 1923.
Schorfhaar thanked the City of Coldwater for the entrance signs honoring his team and the CHS Booster Club for the trophies the athletes received on Tuesday night.
Honored on Tuesday night were Logan Fee, Tyler Kooi, Matt and Zach Gipple, Mo Saleh, Kyle Foulk, Ben Fagen, Adam Bailey, Dylan and Cole Targgart and Shuaib Aljabaly.
The track team’s accomplishment was recognized before the final Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce Entertainment under the Stars show of the summer.
