ALLEN TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A Hillsdale man was killed Wednesday morning when his vehicle struck a tree in Hillsdale County.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office says the fatal victim was 33-year-old Jeremy Steven Luke. The crash took place at about 2:35 a.m. on North Edon Road west of Hallett Road in Allen Township.
Deputies say Luke was traveling north when he left the road and struck the tree.
He was transported to ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital by personnel from the Reading Emergency Unit. He was later transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne where he passed away from the injuries sustained in the crash.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Allen Township Fire Department and Reading Emergency. The crash remains under investigation.
