SHERWOOD TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A 16-year-old boy was injured Thursday afternoon in a Sherwood Township traffic accident.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Department says the youngster was alone in his vehicle on Dunks Road east of Riley Road when a deer ran into his path at about 2:30 p.m..
The teen attempted to miss the deer but lost control of his vehicle.
It then left the road, struck a tree and rolled over into a ditch.
The unidentified driver was taken to Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall after complaining of head and arm pain.
Life Care Ambulance and Sherwood firefighters were also called to the scene.
