COLON, MI (WTVB) – The storms that rolled through southern Michigan and northern Indiana Monday afternoon and evening seem to hit the village of Colon the hardest.
Two large trees were reported down and nearly 2.5 inches of rain fell during a five hour period.
As of early Tuesday, nearly all of the nearly 1,700 Consumer’s Energy customers in Colon were without power.
They were part of the nearly 1,900 customers in St. Joseph County who lost their power.
There were 337 outages reported in Branch County including 120 in Coldwater.
Another 98 customers were out in Hillsdale County. No outages were reported in Calhoun County.
According to the Consumer’s Energy outage page, power is expected to be fully restored by 12 noon Tuesday.
