COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – It’s the weekend garage sale fans forward to every year.
The U.S. 12 Heritage Trail Garage Sale, which is otherwise known as “Michigan’s Longest Garage Sale” will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday in eight southern Michigan counties, including Branch County.
Garage and yard sales are held along the 180 mile U.S. 12 corridor stretching from New Buffalo to Detroit every year during the second weekend in August.
The web site for the event indicates at least 13 garage sales have been scheduled to take place this weekend around Coldwater, Bronson and Quincy.

Keep in mind it’s also race weekend at Michigan International Speedway so traffic along parts of U.S. 12 maybe heavy.
Remember to drive safely and slow down. Stay alert for those trying to park or pull out onto U.S. 12 and for pedestrians trying to cross the highway during the sale.
