COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A suspect who was shot and wounded during an Algansee Township home invasion March 28, 2018 waived his Branch County District Court arraignment Wednesday.
The case of 20-year old Bryceton Vanscoder has been bound over to Branch County Circuit Court where a pre-trial conference was scheduled for October 1, 2018.
He is facing charges of attempted second degree home invasion and second degree conspiracy to commit home invasion with his bond set at $100,000.
A second suspect, 20-year Branden Swander, is facing the same charges.
Warrants have been issued for the third suspect in the case.
The owner of the home on Burlew Road said at the time she thought the men who tried to bust into her house must have been looking for the previous owner, because they have no enemies, and nothing worth stealing.
A home occupant grabbed a gun and opened fire. Vanscoder suffered a non-life threatening wound.
