SPRINGPORT, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School boys and girls cross country teams both finished fourth in Class One while the Quincy boys were second and the girls were third in the Class Two division Wednesday at the Springport Invitational. The Union City boys and girls both finished eighth in Class Two.
Seven Coldwater runners won medals. Kyle Foulk was sixth in the Division One boys race while Jose Blankenship was 20th and John Aerts was 21st. Kathy Potter was third in the girls race while Elka Machan was fourth, Carolyn Potter was 20th and Cece DeWitt was 23rd.
Four Quincy boys finished in the top 20. They were led by Erik Butchart who was fifth. Joshua Pepper was eighth, Ian Trall was 17th and Carter Moore was 20th. Owen Needham of Union City was 19th.
Five Quincy runners medaled as they finished in the top 30. The Orioles were led by Madelyn Allman who was fifth. Zoe Smith was 16th, Elise Wright was 18th, Audrey Wright was 24th and Mollie Butchart was 30th. Marionna Bigelow was the top finisher for Union City as she was 26th.
