COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School boys varsity soccer team’s 2 1/2 year long home unbeaten streak came to an end Thursday night, losing to Otsego 1-0.
The Bulldogs scored the lone goal of the game with 25 minutes to play. Coldwater outshot Otsego 15-2, but could not find the back of the net. Balal Nasser made one save in goal.
The last time Coldwater lost at home was in October 2015.
The non-conference loss dropped the Cardinals to 4-4-1 on the season. They open Interstate 8 Conference play at Hastings Tuesday.
The Coldwater junior varsity team beat Lakewood Lake Odessa 4-0.
Quincy and Jonesville played to a 4-4 tie Thursday.. Axel Beltran scored twice for Quincy while Elijah Wiley and Benjamin Beltran both had one goal.
