COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council accepted with regrets the resignation of long time Third Ward Council Member and Mayor Pro Tem Maureen Petzko Monday night due to health reasons.
Coldwater Mayor Tom Kramer read Petzko’s letter of resignation.
The letter said Petzko was grateful to Third Ward residents for electing her and was proud to have represented them. Petzko has served on the Council since 1994.
Kramer said the council will have to elect a new Mayor Pro Tem during their next meeting September 24. They will also have to appoint someone from the Third Ward to serve out the balance of Petzko’s term which expires at the end of 2019.
