COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The owners of the building at 22 West Chicago in downtown Coldwater got approval on Wednesday night from the city’s Historic District Commission for the rehabilitation and structural stabilization of the front façade.
Bill and Cheryl Flickinger are planning to turn the former Smit-T’s store into a restaurant or pub.
Historic preservation architect Randy Case of Battle Creek has been recruited by the owners to help out.
The Italianate style building was constructed in 1894. It is loacetd near the corner of North Monroe Street, next door to the Coldwater Executive Suites.
