STURGIS, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School boys varsity soccer team picked up their third shutout of the season Saturday, beating Sturgis 2-0.
Shaif Ahmed scored eight minutes into the game, assisted by Abe Alhjaji. Mubarak Said got the second goal of the game with 26 minutes to play in the second half, assisted by Edwin Gallegos.
Balal Nasser made three saves in goal as Coldwater improved to 6-5-1 on the season. They will host Pennfield Tuesday in Interstate 8 Conference action.
The Coldwater JV team beat Sturgis Saturday 3-1. Drayke Fitch scored twice, while Dillon Lawhead had the other goal.
The JV team will host Okemos Tuesday.
