COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – In high school soccer Tuesday, Coldwater improved to 2-1 in the Interstate 8 Conference Tuesday with a 7-0 win at home over Pennfield.
Angel Rodriguez led the Cardinals with three goals and one assist. Anas Asker had two goals and two assists, with single goals from Mubarak Said and Adel Abdulla. The Cardinals outshot Pennfield 22-2, with Balal Nasser picking up his fourth shutout of the season with two saves.
Mohamed Nasser, Shaif Ahmed, Mohamed Aljabaly and Erik Corona also had assists, as Coldwater improved to 7-5-1 overall. They will play at Parma Western Thursday.
The Coldwater junior varsity team fell to Okemos 3-0.
