BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – In Tuesday’s first Interstate 8 Cross-Country Jamboree of the season, Coldwater’s Lady Cards recorded their best finish ever in the I-8, taking third place behind teams from Parma Western and Marshall.
Coldwater team captains Kathy Potter and Elka Machan were the top two finishers in the girls race. Potter won in a time of 20:01. Machan was six seconds back.
The Cardinal boys finished sixth place, paced by Kyle Foulk who finished fifth.
Quincy’s boys were fifth while the girls were seventh at the Blissfield Early Bird Invitational. Joshua Pepper was the top finisher for Quincy in the boys race as he was ninth.
Madelyn Allman was the top finisher for Quincy in the girls meet as she was eighth.
