COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council Monday approved a request from the Branch Area Lions Club to conduct a “Lights of Love” holiday fundraiser in the downtown area. They plan to place between 50 and 100 Christmas trees in the southwest corner and sell them for $100 apiece.
Proceeds would go to the Lions Club to assist those in the community with vision and hearing needs as well as diabetes education and prevention.
Also approved were resolutions that authorized the submission of a grant application to the Michigan State Housing Development Authority for a Modular Home Pilot Program and for a consulting services contract with Haberl Media who will assist in recruiting new businesses to Coldwater and marketing the downtown area.
