COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State Police are investigating an apparent hit and run personal injury accident which took place Thursday morning on northbound I-69 about a half mile south of the Kinderhook exit.
First reports from the scene indicate a semi hit the rear of a van just after 6:00 a.m. and kept going.
The driver of the van was transported from the scene by Life Care Ambulance.
Police unsuccessfully searched the Welcome Center parking lot about two miles north of the accident scene in an attempt to find the semi which was involved in the accident.
The Lakeland Fire Department also called to the scene of the accident.
