BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school volleyball Bronson won their Polish Classic tournament Saturday.
The second-ranked Vikings defeated Sturgis (25-16, 25-14) and Niles (25-16, 25-18) in pool play. In the crossover match, the Vikings defeated Edwardsburg 2-1 (25-21, 24-26, 15-12). They then defeated Niles 2-0 (25-22, 25-8) in the semifinals and rallied to beat Edwardsburg in the finals 2-1 (19-25, 25-22, 15-10)
Scyler Cary had 23 digs, while Paris Outwater had 32 digs, Meagan Lasky…3 aces, 7 kills, 144 assists, 27 digs, Alanna Mayer had 14 kills, nine blocks, Keona Salesman had 5 aces, 66 kills, 5 blocks, 39 digs, Ashton Wronikowski had 9 aces, 31 kills, 9 blocks, 23 digs, Jolie Smoker. had 25 kills, five blocks, and Kiera Lasky had 58 digs on the day.
Meanwhile, Coldwater advanced to the quarterfinals of the Gold Bracket at the East Grands Invitational before losing to Bishop Marian 2-1 (25-22, 16-25, 13-15).
