COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Even though not all of the finish work is complete, the Chandler Plaza parking lot in downtown Coldwater has reopened. After working all summer and completing the primary concrete work last week, most of the parking lot opened last Friday.
The designed approved by the Coldwater City Council last fall allows for 116 parking spaces in a 90-degree configuration. City officials said at the time that the plan offers greater storm water capacity and filtration than a competing design concept that reduced parking capacity to 92 spaces.
As of Friday afternoon, the entrance and exit at the east side of the parking lot were open, but work was still continuing on the south side of the parking lot.
