RICHLAND, MI (WTVB) – In girls high school volleyball, Bronson went 1-1 at the Gull Lake Mini Invitational Tuesday night, defeating Gull Lake 2-0 (25-22, 25-17) and losing to Mattawan 2-1 (19-25, 25-18, 15-17).

The Legg Middle School 7th grade A volleyball team defeated Harper Creek 2-1 (25-17, 21-25, 15-11) to improve their record to 7-2-2. On the night Coldwater was lead at the service line by Bella Carrion 8 – 10 with 1 ace, Morgan Dancer 8 – 10 3 aces, Kaydence Wing 4 -4 , & Kennedy Clemens 9 – 10 with 1 ace. In the back row MacKenzie Scheid had 25 digs, Caroline Miller 20 digs, Clemens 14 digs, Payton McBride 9 digs, Emma Porter 8 digs, Isabella Pool & Hailey Price 5 digs each. Mackenzie Scheid had 7 kills to lead Coldwater followed by Emma Porter, Kennedy Clemens & Isabella Pool 2 each.
Legg’s 7th grade B team defeated Harper Creek 2-1 as they improved to 5-6. Leading the Cardinals in serving was Cecilia Velazquez going 10/12 with 1 ace, Yarisbel Martinez 8/8 Elizabeth Wainscot 6/7, Olivia Uren 7/9 with 2 aces, Josselyn Martinez 4/5 with 1 ace,and Jordyn Vandongen 4/5 with 1 ace. Violet Cunkle and Josselyn Martinez had 1 kill each for the night.
Legg Middle School’s 8th grade B volleyball team traveled to Harper Creek on Tuesday evening where they lost the first two games 16-25 and 14-25 before taking the third game 17-16. The Cardinals were led by Roselyn Ramos with 6 service points including 4 aces and Alex Stewart with 3 service points.
