BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – Jonesville won both the boys and the girls races at the Big 8 Conference Jamboree hosted by Bronson Tuesday. Quincy was third in the boys race while Bronson was fifth and Union City was seventh.
Luis Ortiz of Bronson was fifth while Reagan Mayer was 17th and Mario Sanchez was 23rd. Quincy had five runners in the top 25. Erik Butchart was eighth, Ian Trall 14th, Joshua Pepper 15th, Carter Moore 20th and Brock Martin was 25th. Owen Needham of Union City was 30th.
Quincy finished eight points behind Jonesville in the girls race. Bronson was fifth while Union City was eighth. Bronson’s Xochitl Garcia won the girls race in a time of 19:50.65. Abby Ware was sixth and Grace Welch was 16th. The Quincy girls also have five runners in the top 25. Harmony Harpster was third, Madelyn Allman was fourth, Avery Rufenacht was 10th, Makenzie Blatter was 18th and Mollie Butchart was 24th. Marionna Bigelow of Union City was 34th.
