COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School girls volleyball teams hosted their Purple Games Wednesday, with the varsity beating Jackson Northwest 3-1 (26-24, 25-17, 26-28, 25-12)
A special ceremony was held before the varsity match to honor those who have battled cancer. Proceeds from special fundraising will go to the ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital Cancer Center.
Olivia Foley led the team in assists with 41 and had 11 digs, Tyler Scheid led the team in kills with 16, had 3 aces, and 4 blocks, Abby Herman had 9 kills and tied with most amount of digs along with Ellory Farmer with 13 each.
Sam Rodesiler had 15 kills, 4 blocks, and 8 digs and Malorie Rzepka had 3 aces and 6 kills
Coldwater is now 4-1 in the Interstate 8. They play again Saturday at the St. John’s Invitational.
The Cooldwater junior varsity volleyball team picked up its first conference victory Wednesday, beating Jackson Northwest 2-0 (25-23, 25-14)
