COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners voted during their Thursday work session to bring requests to fill vacancies from the Sheriff’s Department, Central Dispatch and the Commission on Aging forward to next week’s regular meeting.
Branch County Sheriff John Pollack needs to fill two full time clerical positions. One opened when an employee left without notice almost two weeks ago. The other will be vacated on October 31st when another employee retires.
A part time contractual clerical position will be needed while the retiring clerical employee is involved in training the two new employees. Pollack also needs to advertise an open Corrections Officer position.
911 Director Kurt Spalding says two employees have made verbal resignations and are being hired by the Sheriff’s Department so he needs to fill the two vacancies.
Meanwhile, due to an upcoming retirement, the Commission on Aging needs to fill a part time aide’s position. The person hired will perform in-home personal care, homemaking and respite care for eligible Branch County seniors.
