SHERWOOD, MI (WTVB) – The Sherwood Township Board and Planning Commission will host a special meeting next Wednesday night, October 10, which will include a presentation from Dr. Sarah Mills of the University of Michigan regarding wind energy projects and the issues communities should consider.
Sherwood Township Clerk Denise Smith says the public meeting will be held at the Union City Middle School starting at 7:00 p.m..
Smith says the meeting will be about many considerations of wind energy and that Doctor Mills has researched all sides of this issue.
The meeting will be for residents and property owners of Sherwood Township and any other interested persons.
The Sherwood Township board and Planning Commission is continuing to review options and receive information for the development of zoning regulations for a proposed wind energy project.
Questions from the Planning Commission to Dr. Mills will be answered first. Additional questions from the public will be honored with time permitting.
