ST JOHNS, MI (WTVB) – In girls high schoolvolleyball, Coldwater went 4-1 and advanced to the semi-finals of the St. John’s Redwing Invitational Saturday. They finished first in their pool as the Cardinals defeated Lansing Everett (25-7, 25-7), Grand Ledge (25-17, 25-19) and Pewamo-Westphalia (25-6, 25-17).
Coldwater defeated Haslett in the quarterfinals (25-12, 25-19). They then lost to seventh ranked Lowell (19-25, 25-27) in the semifinals.
Cardinal stats:
Olivia Foley led Coldwater in aces, assists and digs. She had 11 aces, 73 assists and 44 digs.
Tyler Scheid had a team high 28 kills along with 15 digs.
Anna Tappenden had 15 kills
Ellory Farmer had 31 digs
Sam Rodesiler had five aces, 17 kills, 22 digs and led the team in blocks with six.
Malorie Rzepka had six aces, 16 kills and 31 digs
Coldwater is now 19-14 overall. They play at Jackson Lumen Christi on Wednesday night.
