COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Work is nearing completion on the front steps of the Branch District Library building in downtown Coldwater. City Manager Keith Baker says in his report for Monday’s City Council meeting says the steps are complete with railings, posts and spindle installation scheduled to be completed by the end of next week.
The project has been funded by contributions from the City of Coldwater, Branch District Library and a Branch County Community Foundation fund established to help maintain the historic library building.
Work over the past year has included the repair of mortar joints and the sealing of sections in the foundation to prevent water damage.
