KALAMAZOO, MI (WTVB) – The State of Michigan’s Attorney Discipline Board is being asked to grant a motion to file an amended complaint involving allegations of misconduct that have been made against Branch County Prosecutor Ralph Kimble.
There were originally seven allegations which included six alleged incidents of sexual harassment that were filed in May.
Grievance Administrator Alan Gershel says they learned in early September of another allegation of sexual harassment that was made by a female attorney. Documents obtained from the Attorney Discipline Board indicate the attorney claimed the alleged incident took place in late 2016 or early 2017.
A spokesperson says a board decision on the amended complaint motion is pending.
At this time, a hearing on all of the allegations is scheduled to begin December 4, 2018 in Kalamazoo after it was originally scheduled to take place last week.
Kimble has denied the allegations that have been made against him in recent months.
During a pre-trial hearing July 24, 2018, Kimble told the three person panel that he plans to call 10 witnesses, including Judges Bill O’Grady, David Coyle and Brent Weigle, as well as Assistant Prosecutors Scott Smith and Valerie White.
As a licensed attorney in Michigan, Kimble is subject to the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court and the Attorney Discipline Board.
