COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Southern Michigan Bank and Trust Chairman and C.E.O. John Castle recently announced the appointments of Gregory Sopcak to the position of First Vice President/Head of Information Technology and Derek Naylor as First Vice President/Head of Retail Lending.
Sopcak has over thirty years of experience in IT, including twenty years within the financial services industry. Most recently, he worked as IT Manager for Wynalda Packaging in Belmont, Michigan.
Naylor is a Kalamazoo native who brings over eighteen years of management and sales experience to the bank. Most recently, he was Vice President/Branch and Residential Mortgage Manager at First National Bank of Michigan in Kalamazoo. Naylor’s new responsibilities will include managing Southern Michigan Bank and Trust’s retail lending division and developing the Kalamazoo retail market.
