UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Jonesville won both races on Tuesday at the Big 8 Conference Jamboree hosted by Union City and captured the season championship for both the boys and girls.
Quincy was fourth in the final boys standings while Bronson was fifth and Union City was seventh. That was the way they finished in the final jamboree of the season.
Bronson’s Luis Ortiz was sixth while Reagan Mayer was 18th, Mario Sanchez was 19th, Ben Grate was 25th and Brayden Ransbottom was 29th. Erik Butchart was seventh for the Orioles. Joshua Pepper was 15th, Ian Trall was 16th and Brock Martin was 21st. Owen Needham was 24th for the Chargers.
Quincy’s girls finished second in Tuesday’s jamboree and in the final standings while Bronson was fifth and Union City was eighth.
Bronson’s Xochitl Garcia won the girls race with a time of 19:57.1. Abby Ware was ninth while Grace Welch was 11th. Quincy had seven runners finish in the top 27. Harmony Harpster was third, Madelyn Allman finished fifth, Avery Rufenacht was 10th, Makenzie Blatter was 19th, Rylee Sunday was 20th, Mollie Butchart was 27th and Alyssa Smith was 28th. Marionna Bigelow was 33rd for Union City.
