BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – In boys high school post season soccer, Coldwater advanced to the MHSAA district semi-finals with a 1-0 win over Battle Creek Central Tuesday night.
Mubarak Said scored the lone goal of game with 1:23 to play in the first half, assisted by Angel Rodriguez. The Cardinals outshot Battle Creek Central 11-1, with Balal Nasser in goal for his seventh shutout of the season.
Coldwater is now 12-6-3 on the season, and they will play Eaton Rapids Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Eaton Rapids. The Greyhounds beat Pennfield in the opening round 8-2 Tuesday.
