COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Clerk Terry Kubasiak is trying to reassure voters who have already cast an absentee ballot their vote will count on Election Day after a clerical error was discovered in the Michigan Attorney General’s race.
Candidate Chris Graveline was listed as representing the Natural Law Party, but he is actually running as “No Party Affiliation”.
Kubasiak says the State Bureau of Elections has been notified. She says the ballots are being reprinted and that the ballots issued on Election Day will be correct.
Any voter who has already completed and returned an absentee ballot will be sent a replacement ballot. If by chance the replacement ballot is not returned by Election Day, then the original ballot that was submitted will be counted.
Any questions should be directed to the County Clerk’s office or your local clerk.
