COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital Forensic Nurses Laura Kopacz and Lynda Hooley were among over 900 forensic nurses from across the country and internationally, who attended the four day annual International Conference on Forensic Nursing Science and Practice in Reno, Nevada.
Conference attendees shared their expertise and knowledge, and put state-of-the-art science into action.
They heard from keynote speakers and attended workshops on such topics as death investigations, forensic and legal, intimate partner violence, child abuse, corrections, and sexual violence.
The hospital has been providing medical-forensic services to women, children and men, who are victims of sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse and domestic violence since 1999.
