CALIFORNIA TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A safe was stolen from a home in Branch County’s California Township during the past week, after several men distracted the elderly resident.
Michigan State Police are looking into the incident, which they say took place sometime between October 30 and November 4, 2018 in the 900 block of South Fremont Road.
Troopers say multiple suspects distracted the resident by asking to inspect his electric service while other suspects took the safe out of the home.
The safe is described as brown in color. It’s an older model that is 2 foot by 2 foot.
A white Ford Taurus was seen around the residence during the time frame of the theft.
