COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A request from Sport Truck U.S.A. for the installation of a 64-space parking lot at their facility on Race Street is scheduled to come before the City of Coldwater Planning Commission Monday night.
The property was the subject of a Site Plan Review pertaining to an addition to the rear building five years ago. The new parking lot would cover over 15,000 square feet and cost about $30,000.
There are apparently some issues that still need to be ironed out.
City Planning Director Dean Walrack says in his report to the Planning Commission that the staff is recommending that the Site Plan be tabled until further stormwater management plans be developed and approved by the Planning Commission. They have the option of approving the Site Plan as presented with contingencies and allow Administrative Staff to withhold issuing any building permits until the Stormwater Management details are satisfactory.
Walrack says the new parking lot is necessary to accommodate employee parking and to separate it from the heavy truck traffic in the north-side loading and unloading area.
