COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners voted Thursday to bring forward to next week’s meeting their formal action on a request for proposals from five architects for the design of a new Branch County Jail.
County Administrator Bud Norman said the 16-page proposal has been divided into six parts.
He said the deadline for the bids to be submitted will be November 30 at 2:00 p.m. with interviews taking place a week later.
The five vendors who were determined to be qualified to design the jail are Byce and Associates, BKV Group, Tower Pinkster, Hooker DeJong and Elevatus.
Branch County voters approved a millage request for the new jail, which is scheduled to be open during the summer of 2020.
