COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved recommendations from City Planner Dean Walrack Monday night to change regulations covering the maximum height of fences in the city and the value threshold at which a Legally Nonconforming Residential Accessory Structure may be rebuilt.
Walrack said the value threshold for accessory structures would be raised from 60 percent to no more than 100 percent of real valuation.
The maximum allowable height of fences throughout the City would go up by six inches to four feet six inches within front yards and to six feet six inches in side and rear yards.
The amendment would also raise the allowable maximum height of fences within the C-2 Central Business District to four feet six inches.
