BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – The Bronson Vikings have one more hurdle to clear before they can claim a fourth straight state championship and their fifth in the last nine years. The second-ranked Vikings take on sixth-ranked Unionville-Sebewaing for the Division Three state title at the MHSAA Girls Volleyball finals at Kellogg Arena in Battle Creek. The Vikings will take a 57-6 record into the finals while Unionville-Sebewaing is 44-4-4. The match is scheduled to start at 12:00 noon. Coverage here on AM 1590 and FM 95.5 WTVB and on line at www.wtvbam.com will begin at around 11:45 a.m.
Another area team will be trying to win a state title on Saturday. The Mendon Hornets will face Leland in the Division Four State Finals. The Hornets advanced on Friday as they defeated Southfield Christian 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-13). Leland defeated Carney-Nadeau 3-0. (25-21, 25-14, 25-16)
