ALLEN, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State Police say a man is in custody after he allegedly shot his wife in the chest during a domestic dispute that they report turned into an attempted homicide at a Allen Township residence early Monday morning.
Troopers say they were dispatched to the home on U.S. 12 near Cronk Road, which is east of Allen, just before 6:00 a.m..
They said in a brief news release that the woman’s injury was serious but it was not life threatening.
Names of the couple are being withheld pending the suspect’s arraignment.
The incident remains under investigation.
