QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Legg Middle School eighth grade boys basketball team lost to Quincy’s Orange team 23-21. Chase Sunderland led Legg with nine points.
Ryder Schmachlenberger lead the Oriole offense with six points, while Sam Sawyer had five points, and Gavin Hagerman and Chase Walter each had four points. Walters had nine rebounds, while and Sam Sawyer had eight rebounds. The Oriole Orange team mid-season record is 3-1.
In the night cap, the Quincy 8th grade Black team was led by Riley Miner’s 12 points as they beat Litchfield 33-14. Tre’Von Bodley grabbed 10 rebounds.
The Legg Middle School seventh grade A team lost to the Bronson eighth grade team 42-28. Aden Hathaway led Bronson with 24 points. Zach Coffing led Legg with eight points and 12 rebounds. Eddie Pool had seven rebounds. Legg is now 3-3 while Bronson improved to 5-1.
Legg’s seventh grade B team lost to the Bronson seventh grade team 34-22. The 5-1 Vikings were led by Miles Losinksi who scored 12 points. Kaden Voyce led Legg with nine points while Hugo Mojica grabbed 10 rebounds.
