COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners has finalized the schedule for interviews with the five architectural firms who have expressed an interest in designing the new Branch County Jail.
The deadline for the bids to be submitted is November 30 at 2:00 p.m., with interviews taking place December 6, 2018.
Commissioners have decided to hold a special work session at 3:00 p.m. December 11 in order to bring forward to the regular meeting that afternoon their selection of the firm which will design the jail, which is scheduled to open in the late summer of 2020.
The five vendors who were determined to be qualified to design the jail are Byce and Associates, BKV Group, Tower Pinkster, Hooker DeJong, and Elevatus.
Branch County voters approved a millage request in August 2018 for the new jail.
