COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Clemens Food Group is offering a challenge to help finalize the funding of the Tibbits Opera House boiler project.
Clemens says it will match every new donation made to Tibbits for the boiler fund up to $2,500.
While it has been nearly a year since Tibbits Opera House replaced its 50-year-old boilers, the effort to cover the expense has continued.
The total project cost was over $62,000 and the theatre is within $4,900 of its goal.
Various non-profit local groups have already made donations to the boiler project.
Gifts have been received from Coldwater Rotary Club, Coldwater Exchange Club, Kiwanis Club of Coldwater, Sunrise Rotary, The Smith Memorial Concert, Branch County Community Theatre, Altrusa International of Branch County, the Quincy Rotary Club and several private donors.
Tibbits has also received a rebate grant from Efficiency UNITED and a capital improvement grant from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.
As a nonprofit, Tibbits depends on community support.
