COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – What a way to start the new work week after the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
Overnight rain changed to snow which left a slushy mess on area roads.
The bad weather conditions have forced the cancellation of classes for all Branch County public school districts.
Union City and Tekonsha schools announced at around 5:00 a.m. they were closed for Monday.
Coldwater, Bronson and Quincy started with a two hour delay. But when the conditions failed to improve, officials in those districts decided to throw in the sponge.

Consumer’s Energy reports over 10,000 customers system wide have lost power which includes over 3,000 in Calhoun County. Just a handful of outages have been reported in Branch County.
Drivers are urged to use caution and give yourself plenty of time if you must be out.
