COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Just about half of Tuesday’s rather routine 12 minute Branch County Board of Commissioners meeting was taken up by the placing of names into nominations to fill positions on various county boards.
Ethan Kosachuk was nominated for the Airport Board while James Bilsborrow and R. Scott Kirkpatrick were nominated for the Airport Board of Appeals.
Gordon Gentry, Janis Olney, David Smoker, Doctor Dale Williams and Brent Wilber were nominated for the Commission on Aging Board.
Cindy Bland and Sue Smith were nominated for the District Library Board.
Davis Swallow was nominated for the Planning Commission while Robert Mayer and Jerry Avery were nominated for an expiring position on the Road Commission.
In addition, Kevin Miller and Marilyn Johnson were nominated and appointed to fill vacant Industry and Education positions on the Branch County Planning Commission.
Commissioners also accepted the resignation of Rod Olney from the Commission on Aging Board.
