COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A Matteson Township woman was arraigned yesterday in Branch County District Court on felony marijuana charges.
57-year old Lila Hutchins was arrested at her home on West Colon Road early Tuesday by Michigan State Police. According to troopers, Hutchins had a medical marijuana card, but an investigation revealed she had allegedly been selling marijuana to people that were not patients and they did not have medical marijuana cards.
State Police said they went to Hutchins’ home in April and discovered evidence which was sent to the state crime lab. The substance tested positive for marijuana and when the lab results were received by the troopers in October, they asked for a warrant which was issued by the Branch County Prosecutor’s Office.
Hutchins was charged with two counts of manufacture and delivery of marijuana with the bond set at $5,000, ten percent allowed. She posted bond and was released with a probable cause hearing in District Court scheduled for December 12, 2018.
