LAGRANGE TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Cass County Deputies say a Bronson resident was involved in a freak accident Saturday night that led to three persons being injured.
Deputies say a 58-year-old woman from Elkhart broke down along Dailey Road, leaving her PT Cruiser stopped partially in the roadway. 31-year-old Alejandro Velasco stopped his Jeep to lend assistance, parking in front of the disabled vehicle.
That’s when deputies say 19-year-old Jacob Butters of Bronson came along in his Chevy Silverado and crashed into the rear of the PT Cruiser, which struck the jeep and in turn struck Velasco.
He was not injured. A passenger in the Silverado and two people in the PT Cruiser suffered minor injuries and were treated at Ascension Borgess Lee Hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
