UNION CITY, MI (WTVB) – Union City’s “Giving Tree” is now up in the Village Office in hopes this will be a brighter Christmas for those who are in need.
There are 22 families and 61 children on the tree this year. Village residents are asked to stop in and select and sign out a tag to sponsor an area youngster this Christmas.
Instructions are provided with each tag. Donation of toys, new clothes or any new items that can be used for this project can be dropped off at the Village Office between now and December 18th.
Criteria for sponsorship require that the children be under the age of 18 and have a genuine financial family need.
They must also live in Union City and/or attend Union City Schools.
