COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Community Schools Board of Education approved the start of a Legg Middle School Soccer Club during their Monday night meeting.
Superintendent Terri Boguth said the program will start during the 2019-2020 school year.
Sarah Langer will be one of the managers for the soccer club. She says due to the high demand for a competitive soccer program and our diverse community, they will join the Southwest Michigan Middle School Soccer League.
She adds the goal is to provide a competitive soccer program at the middle school age that supports and builds toward a competitive soccer program at the high school.
The club will follow the athletic eligibility policy put in place by the Coldwater Athletic Department and will follow the same academic and disciplinary guidelines as any other sport or club with Langer and Ryan Scheetz overseeing both teams.
