COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Pansophia Academy in Coldwater is getting ready for a major expansion project that will take place in 2019.
Principal Jamie Mueller says they have been planning the expansion for the last couple of years. Whenever an academy wants to expand, it must meet academic and program thresholds as set by their authorizers. Central Michigan University is Pansophia’s authorizer, and they recently approved the project.
Groundbreaking is scheduled to take place in April 2019, with the work scheduled to be finished in the fall. The expansion will include a new secure entryway and new offices. Mueller says most importantly, there will be six to eight new classrooms.
On another matter, Mueller says Pansophia has committed to an athletic share agreement with Litchfield Community Schools.
The track agreement with Litchfield will start this spring. The agreement for Litchfield’s eight person football program starts next fall.
