EATON RAPIDS, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School varsity wrestling team went 3-2 Saturday at the Eaton Rapids Invitational. Coldwater lost to Lakewood (37-38) and Eaton Rapids (6-61) before defeating Carleton-Airport (46-29), Lansing Sexton (64-15) and Vandercook Lake (64-3).
Going 4-1 on the day were Zeke Nowicki (125), Ahmed Omar (130), Vinny Motta (135), Griffin Olmstead (160) and Dillon Minton (285).
The varsity’s overall record in now 15-5, and Coldwater wrestles next January 5, 2019 at the Clinton individual tournament.
The JV squad will compete December 27 at Brooklyn Columbia Central and January 4, 2019 at Grand Ledge.
