COLDWATER TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – A 38-year-old Coldwater man was injured early Thursday morning in what the Michigan State Police say may have been an alcohol related accident.
Troopers along with rescue crews were sent to the area of Garfield and North Behnke Roads at about 2:20 a.m. after the man’s vehicle went off the road, rolled over and struck two trees.
The car was tipped on the driver’s side which trapped the injured man inside. He was the only occupant of the vehicle.
The Coldwater Fire Department came to the scene and extricated the driver who was then taken by Lifecare Ambulance Service to Promedica Coldwater Regional Hospital for treatment. The accident is still under investigation. State Police were assisted by Coldwater Police Department, the Coldwater Fire Department and Lifecare Ambulance.
