COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The first influenza-associated pediatric death of this flu season was recently confirmed by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
The location of the death was not revealed. State health officials along with the Branch-Hillsdale-St. Joseph Community Health Agency are urging you to get vaccinated for protection against the flu this season if you have not done so yet.
Flu activity most commonly peaks in the United States between December and February, so it is not too late to get your flu shot.
Vaccinations are available through the Community Health Agency.
Immunization clinics are available in Branch County on Mondays, in St. Joseph County on Tuesdays and in Hillsdale County on Wednesdays.
